Love, lust - Emotions in dust

One is loved because one is loved. No reason is needed for loving.

Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist.

Before I begin which I already have, let me extract from your mind what comes first when you think about love.

Is it a person or a thing or food or your pet or money?

Every individual has a different definition of love.

One says it’s the most beautiful feeling andone says it’s another name for trust and another might say its care and few might say it’s just a game.

So, what is love?

Love is a variety of different emotional and mental states, typically strongly and positively experienced, that ranges from deepest interpersonal affection to simple pleasure.

An example of this range is the love of a parent for a child to the love of money to the love of food.

Now, the love which I am talking about is the love between two unrelated individuals. The love between a boy and a girl, or precisely a love affair!

Yes that’s what I like to call it. An affair! Two people feel something for each other,Attraction and they name it “love”. But, it is often lust disguised as love.

Lust?

WHAT IS LUST?

Lust is the craving for salt of a man who is dying of thirst.      ~Frederick Buechner

An intense but short-lived passion or admiration for someone is lust.

Particularly in the current and young generations, love has lost its meaning.

Love grants, lust takes.

Love upholds, lust abandons.

Love waits, lust is impatient.

Love protects, lust risks.

Love respects, lust violates.

But now,

Love is equal to lust. Breach of trust. Emotions burnt down to dust.

BUT WHY? WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?

WHAT ARE THE FACTORS CAUSING THIS?

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

According to me, the leading cause is the misinterpretation of the movies and other video series.

People portray various things on the screen and the young generation considers that to be true. I’m not criticizing all the movies or any media. There are a lot of numbers that the young generation needs to watch. But what maximum movies do is block the perception of the viewer.

Over time, movie makers have turned the way of showing romance in movies. We see today that nudity has become a usual practice in most of the movies or is seen as a way to attract audience and make movie a huge commercial success. Most of the scenes depicted directly affect the young as they, being immature do not get the essence of scenes and try implementing in real life leading to miserable life problems. These are leading to a mentally and physically disturbed society.

The viewer fails to differentiate between what making love and being in love means.

When you feel something about someone, first try to ask yourself what it really is. When you are young, there are a lot of chemical changes taking place within you that make you think it is love. But it always happens that when you realize it wasn’t love, it’s already too late. Know your feelings. Inculcate a habit of talking to your heart.

You will never be able to escape from your heart. So it’s better to listen to what it has to say. That way, you’ll never have to fear an unanticipated blow.

Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist

Ultimately it is up to an individual what he learns from a movie. It is human nature to follow someone or something which we appreciate. So naturally the things portrayed by one’s favorite celebrity in a movie seem morally right to him/her. One should keep in mind that movies are solely for the purpose of entertainment. They don’t work in real life.

Love is not something that you feel in a moment.

Love is not something that you feel just by looking at someone.

Love is not something that satisfies your physical needs.

Love is something which develops over time when you get to know a person thoroughly.

Love is something that gives you courage.

Love is the purest and most beautiful flower in the garden of human emotions. Don’t let the monster of lust crush it.

Love with your heart.

Life is beautiful when your love is really love.
